[PATCH] RFC: OCaml tools: add and use a Getopt module
by Pino Toscano
Add a new Getopt module to mllib, to parse command line arguments with
handlers close to the ones used with Arg, but using getopt(3) (actually
getopt_long_only) to do the real parsing. This allow us to provide
options for OCaml tools with a syntax similar to the C tools, and use
the additional features getopt offers and Arg does not.
Do a single-step conversion of Common_utils and all the OCaml tools to
the syntax of Getopt.
As side-change due to the conversion, extra arguments for sysprep
operation can have more keys for the same argument.

[PATCH 0/4] p2v: Send ^C to remote end to cancel the conversion.
by Richard W.M. Jones
(I don't have a BZ# for this yet, but I'm expecting it to be
filed as an RFE)
Currently if the user is in the virt-p2v GUI and cancels the
conversion, all that happens is we abruptly close the ssh session to
virt-v2v.
That is bad .. possibly (or maybe not). But in any case there is an
alternative: we can send a ^C key to the virt-v2v process, which it
could catch and handle gracefully, although it doesn't do that right
now.
Sending ^C turns out to be complex. It requires changes in miniexpect
(http://git.annexia.org/?p=miniexpect.git;a=commitdiff;h=fb0eeddc671039cab...).
Then we have to make sure the control connection to virt-v2v is opened
in "cooked" mode.
But we cannot open the control connection in cooked mode without also
changing the way we are copying files over to the remote server, so I
also had to implement 'scp' support.
After all that the conversion code can be modified to send ^C when the
connection is cancelled.
Rich.

[PATCH 0/2] Added download_blocks API
by Matteo Cafasso
With this API we complete the set of functions required to extract
deleted files/data from most of the available filesystems.
The function allows to extract data units (blocks) within a given range
from a partition.
The tests show an example on how the function can be used to retrieve
deleted data.

[PATCH 0/4] virt-p2v support for openSUSE / SLES
by Cédric Bosdonnat
Hi there,
Here are a few patches to get virt-p2v working on openSUSE and SLES. Note
that I intentionnaly use icewm and yast2 lan for SLES and openSUSE since SLES
doesn't ship metacity and all of NetworkManager pieces.
Cédric Bosdonnat (4):
p2v: use yast2 lan on SUSE distros rather than NM
p2v: fix dependencies for SLES / openSUSE

What is file.img?

'du --apparent-size' and 'ls -l' are the same thing, so it's not
really surprising that you see the same numbers here.

If I understand your question correctly, then everything is working as
it should.
For qcow2 files, the virtual size is not related to the "apparent"
size, as you can easily prove:
$ qemu-img create -f qcow2 huge.qcow2 1T
Formatting 'huge.qcow2', fmt=qcow2 size=1099511627776 encryption=off cluster_size=65536 lazy_refcounts=off refcount_bits=16
$ ls -lh huge.qcow2
-rw-r--r--. 1 rjones rjones 208K Jun 17 09:09 huge.qcow2
If you use raw files, then the file apparent size and virtual size are
the same.
Rich.

[PATCH] p2v: kiwi: make sure launch-virt-p2v is executable
by Cédric Bosdonnat
virt-p2v-make-kiwi now forces the launch-virt-p2v mode to 0755 to
ensure the executable bit it set for user.

[PATCH] p2v: improve error message for sudo with password
by Pino Toscano
Print a better error message when the non-root user on the conversion
server requires a password to use sudo, and p2v is told to use sudo.

[PATCH] ext: change e2fsck retcode processing during resize
by Maxim Perevedentsev
e2fsck returns 1 in case of "file system errors corrected".
We treat it as success in normal e2fsck, but fail if e2fsck
is run by resize2fs.
Change 'manual' execution of e2fsck to dedicated function call.
