Maybe it can be removed as well. For example, udev 128 in SLES11 SP1
already has and uses udevadm.
It's the same story -- required for RHEL 5:
$ ls -l /sbin/udevsettle
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 24800 Nov 2 2011 /sbin/udevsettle
In answer to your question, yes, we could keep a patch for this in the
'oldlinux' branch.
