Maybe not enough disk space on /tmp or /var/tmp?
What host OS are you using?
Where did you get libguestfs from?
What versions of libguestfs & supermin are installed?
If possible, update to libguestfs >= 1.26. The appliance building
code was completely rewritten and is far more robust.
