I believe the fix for this is to run:
sudo update-guestfs-appliance
We have long fixed this problem upstream.
version : virt-sysprep 1.24.5
operating system version : ubuntu 14.04 trusty
... grumbles about Ubuntu still shipping ancient and insecure
versions of libguestfs ...
