I'm not sure how compatible the protocol was between an old version of
the ISO and current versions. Matt will know in detail.
I made an incompatible change in virt-p2v 0.8.1. Since then it's fine,
though.
However I just pushed virt-p2v-image-builder to F14 quite recently.
The version in *F16* is known to be broken, but the version in F14 is
worth trying ...

The version in F14 is known to work. It's the only Fedora version I've
tested on. I'm about to fix F15, though. The F16 problem Rich reported
looks like the upstream kickstart syntax changed again.
