Hi Rich,
thanks for the confirmation. I am looking into see how the cached images that are
downloaded initially are made, e.g. $HOME/.cache/virt-builder/fedora-33.x86_64.2. I would
like build one so that I can test out alma linux. Is this a dd image? Looks like:
$ parted fedora-33.x86_64.2
GNU Parted 3.2
Using /home/pb/.cache/virt-builder/fedora-33.x86_64.2
Welcome to GNU Parted! Type 'help' to view a list of commands.
(parted) print
Disk /home/pb/.cache/virt-builder/fedora-33.x86_64.2: 6442MB

Partition Table: gpt

Hi All,
I have been using libguestfs to generate centOS and fedora based
images. Are there plans to support almalinux or CentOS stream? Or if
there is a how to or doc that shows how to build a custom OS please let me know.
I'm not sure to what extent CentOS Stream will differ from RHEL in reality, but
generally yes to both, although I'll probably wait a while to see if they have
momentum. It shouldn't be too hard, basically searching down all existing references
to CentOS and Scientific Linux in the code and adding the new distro(s) alongside.
I don't expect any special support beyond that should be needed.
Rich.
