via guestmount ...
Best thing is to try tracing what calls it's making:
http://libguestfs.org/guestmount.1.html#examples
ie: guestmount [-a ... -m ...] --trace /mnt
Most likely is that I have reversed the parameters to the symlink call
somewhere along the line.
