I notice you wrote on the AUR about problems using the appliance.
If you're doing ./configure --disable-appliance, then it's not really
surprising that the appliance doesn't get built.
The issue I had described on AUR where obtained when removing
/configure --disable-appliance ! If I understand, the package
maintainer decided to disable it and wrote his own script.
Just to test, I removed the two files from his PKGBUILD and removed
the disable option.
