[PATCH] v2v: Copy *.dll files since they can be part of the driver (RHBZ#1311373).
by Richard W.M. Jones
Commit 47b5f245bec908f803f0a89c3b1e3166cfe33aad originally introduced
the filtering of files by extension. For the QXL driver at least,
there is a qxldd.dll file which is part of the driver, so that must be
copied to the guest as well.
This patch will cause 'WdfCoInstaller*.dll' files to be copied too.
While I'm not sure if this is correct, it seems as if it will be safe
as although there are multiple copies of this file, they are all the
same (per architecture).
Thanks: Vadim Rozenfeld, Tingting Zheng.

[PATCH] mllib: factor out mounting of guest root
by Pino Toscano
Introduce and use a new inspect_mount_root function to mount all the
mountpoints of a root in the guest, replacing the same code doing that
in different tools.
inspect_mount_root_ro is inspect_mount_root with readonly mount option.

[libguestfs] Libguestfs as filesystem forensic tool
by noxdafox
Greetings,
I am playing around with the idea of using libguestfs as a forensic tool
to investigate VM disk images.
Some use cases as example:
* Sandbox for malware analysis.
* Incident response in cloud environments.
Libguestfs is a precious resource in this case as it allows to abstract
the disk image internals and expose them as mountable devices.
Combined with some state of the art tool such as The Sleuth Kit it would
turn it into a pretty powerful forensic tool.
http://www.sleuthkit.org/
I played around with some proof-of-concept and the idea seems to work.
The question I'd like to ask is if this feature would interest the
libguestfs community or if I shall fork the project (libguestforensic?)
and, if so, what is the preferable way to do it.
Thank you.

[PATCH] daemon: do not fail list-disk-labels w/o labels set
by Pino Toscano
If there are no labels set for the disks, the directory with the
symlinks will not even exists, causing list-disk-labels to fail with
ENOENT. In this situation, act as if the directory was there, but
empty.

[PATCH] make-fs: print error message on mkfs failure
by Pino Toscano
This makes a bit easier to diagnose failures on mkfs, without the need
to restart the filesystem creation with verbose output (which will
produce a lot more output).

[PATCH] daemon: ntfs: fix format strings
by Pino Toscano
Use PRIi64 as format string for int64_t, so it builds and works fine
also on 32bit. Also switch from asprintf_nowarn to asprintf, since no
custom formats (eg %Q, %R) are used.
