[PATCH 0/2] Fix grub-install (RHBZ#484986).
by Richard W.M. Jones 03 Jun '10

03 Jun '10

For some unknown reason (possibly a regression), grub-install cannot determine the BIOS devices corresponding to virtio-blk devices. Therefore you have to create a /boot/grub/device.map file by hand before running grub-install. These two patches just note this in the documentation, and secondly enable the tests by writing this file before running grub-install. [PATCH ubuntu] ubuntu: Remove two FUSE packages from the default list.
by Richard W.M. Jones 03 Jun '10

03 Jun '10

Previously: http://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2009-December/msg00044.html we had to disable a lot of packages which were missing in Ubuntu Karmic. However with the patch I just posted: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2010-May/msg00132.html we don't need to remove packages just because they are missing. But there is still one package which is present but doesn't install under debirf, 'fuse-utils', which is a dep of ntfs-3g and zfs-fuse. Therefore this patch removes these two packages from the list. [PATCH ubuntu repost] Ubuntu: Use apt-get instead of aptitude when installing guestfsd.
by Richard W.M. Jones 03 Jun '10

03 Jun '10

Previously posted here: http://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2009-December/msg00041.html I can't get aptitude to work under debirf (not on Ubuntu anyway), so using apt-get is necessary for me. Posted earlier: http://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2009-December/msg00040.html This seems to have been implicitly ACKed by Guido last time, so I intend to push it.
